X Factor guest mentor Michael Bublé has confessed that he is "smitten" with one of the contestants on this year's show. The Canadian crooner has said that he has a soft spot for Stacey Solomon, according to a report.

The 34-year-old star has been helping all the hopefuls to prepare their performance for the Big Band week on the show but he said that Solomon had made a special impression on him.

Michael told the Daily Star: "She's so cute!"

He said that Stacey kept bursting into tears in rehearsals because of the "emotion" of the song she will sing on Saturday night's show.

Michael said: "I told her to go home, write out the lyrics, read and read and let the song do the work - do it for her little guy."

Bublé also said that he was happy to be back on the show, having coached Leon Jackson and Rhydian Roberts in 2007.

He said: "It's great to be back. Last time I had such a laugh with Rhydian and Leon and the rest, all hugely talented.

"It finished with me having Leon up on stage singing `Home' with me at Wembley. Amazing.

"Perhaps we do the same thing again this time around!"

The single mum-of-one admitted Pete was "a bit of alright" and said that she would love to meet the singer.

She told OK! magazine: "I'm single at the moment and there's no one in the house that I fancy.

But Peter Andre is a bit of alright. We were in the same hotel the other day as we almost could have met - I really love him, I'm definitely on Team Pete."I'd wear a Team Pete T-shirt if I had one! ..But I also love Katie Price too. I just love her. Everything she wears, I just love and want to wear it too. She always looks pretty."

of her looks and still suffers from low self-esteem.

‘I've seen Stacey grow up and she wasn't exactly a beauty as a child,' says our source. ‘Stacey was very shy, too. She had a hard time at school.

‘I remember her as a little girl with sticky-out ears and crooked teeth. No one would believe it now, though. She's blossomed into a swan and is such a lovely person, too.'

Although she appears confident and outgoing, Stacey still lacks faith in her looks and talent.‘She's always lacked confidence - maybe because of her appearance,' continues our source. ‘She's very humble. Perhaps that's why she can't believe she's in the finals.'

Last month, the 20-year-old said her singing and dancing course at Havering College in Essex has given her a boost. ‘I'm not the most confident person, but the teachers have really supported me,' she says.

Mum to 19-month-old Zachary, Stacey discovered she was pregnant while on holiday in Tenerife, according to a friend.She is on great terms with Zach's dad, even though they split up before their son was born.

‘Zach's dad visits every other weekend,' says our source. ‘He's only young and seems good with the baby. The family don't talk about Stacey's pregnancy. It must have been a hard time, but she's an amazing mum.'
